City Desires

You have found a profile you like, you have the number in front of you, and you have not pressed call. That hesitation is the thing nobody writes about. Everyone explains the steps; almost nobody tells you what the next two hours actually feel like, which is what is really stopping you.

So this is not the process. We have set the process out separately in our guide to booking an escort in Mumbai. This is what happens around the process, the call, the wait, the door, the money, and the leaving.

What do you actually say on the first call?

Three things: who, where, and roughly when. That is the whole script.

“I saw Sneha’s profile. I am in Andheri East, near the MIDC side. Is she free this evening around nine?” You have now given everything needed to answer you properly, and you have said nothing about yourself.

The hesitation is usually about being judged by whoever picks up. You will not be. The person answering has taken this call several thousand times and finds it about as remarkable as a hotel taking a reservation. There is no password. There is no code anyone expects you to know.

What you should not do is open with a long explanation of why you are calling. It wastes your time, and it tells a fraud on the other end that you are nervous, which is precisely the condition they work with.

How do you know the profile is genuine before you commit?

Check whether the same number and the same photographs hold up when you look at them from outside the listing.

Take one of the photographs and run a reverse image search, press and hold on your phone, or drop the image into Google Images on a desktop. If that face belongs to a Russian stock model or appears on forty listings across six cities, you have your answer in about ninety seconds.

Then the number. A genuine listing keeps one. If you are told to save a second number “for booking”, then a third for “confirmation”, you are watching a fraud distribute risk across SIM cards.

Last, ask something ordinary and specific. Which areas does she cover? Can she come to a hotel in Vile Parle East? Somebody who knows the answer gives it in one line. Somebody reading from a script goes vague, or turns the question back on you.

Our own verified escort profiles in Mumbai all route to the same number, which is the point, there is one place to call and the same people answer.

When does money change hands and how much?

At the end, in person, in cash, and only once. Nothing before that.

This is the single line worth memorising from this entire article. No advance. No token amount. No booking fee, registration fee, security deposit, hotel rent or “refundable” anything. Not ₹500 to “confirm”, not ₹2,000 to “block the slot”.

The total should be settled on chat before anyone travels, so there is no arithmetic at the door. If the figure quoted on the call and the figure asked for afterwards are different, the booking is over. You are allowed to leave. You do not owe an explanation.

And the absolute line, the one that does not bend: never share an OTP, a UPI PIN, a card CVV or a banking password with anyone, for any reason, at any point. No genuine booking has ever required one. An OTP travels in one direction, out of your phone and into somebody else’s control.

What do you share about yourself, and what stays with you?

A first name and a number. That is the entire list.

Your actual name is not required. Your workplace is not required. Your Aadhaar, PAN, driving license or any other identity document is not required, and the request is itself the warning, nobody arranging an evening needs to know your father’s name.

Photographs cut both ways. Do not send yours, and do not take any when you meet. No photographs, no recordings, nothing to a group. That is not etiquette, it is the difference between an evening and a problem that follows you for years.

On our side, what you send is kept for one month so we can reply, then deleted. It is not sold and not added to any list. The detail is in our privacy policy if you would rather read it than take our word.

What should be agreed before anyone leaves the house?

Four things, and all four in writing on chat: area with a landmark, start time, how long, and the total amount.

The landmark matters more in Mumbai than anywhere else. “Andheri” covers an enormous stretch of the city, and the difference between the MIDC side and Lokhandwala is forty minutes at seven in the evening. Say “near Chakala metro station” or “the hotel behind Mindspace” and the travel estimate you get back is real.

Duration and total go in the same message. Not because anyone expects a dispute, but because a written line removes the thing fraudsters rely on, ambiguity they can widen later.

If you are in a part of town that empties after office hours, say so. Bandra Kurla Complex is full of people until eight and close to deserted by ten, and that changes what is sensible to arrange there.

What does the meeting itself actually look like?

Ordinary. Disappointingly ordinary, if you have been imagining it.

She arrives, you talk for a few minutes, and whatever was agreed on chat is what happens. Nobody performs. There is no ceremony and no script you are expected to follow. Most first-timers report afterwards that the anticipation was the difficult part and the evening itself was unremarkable.

Consent runs continuously and in both directions. She can decline something or end the evening at any stage, and so can you. Neither of you owes the other a reason. If anybody makes that difficult, the booking ends there.

What should make you stop, even at the last minute?

Too much hurry being created around money. That one signal catches most of them.

Watch for: a sudden rush that was not there an hour ago, a number that changes mid-conversation, a rate that climbs after being agreed, or a fresh reason for one more payment. Each demand arrives just after you have already paid something, which is what makes stopping feel like losing what you have put in. That feeling is the mechanism. It is engineered.

Other things worth noticing: being told to wait somewhere while “she is on the way” and nobody comes; being passed to a different number for “verification”; being asked to pay a hotel directly on somebody’s behalf.

If a listing on this site ever behaves that way, write to report@citydesires.co.in and tell us. A listing can be pulled and a number blocked once we know about it. We cannot recover money, and anyone telling you otherwise is selling something.

Is any of this legal in India?

Yes, with limits that are worth knowing precisely rather than vaguely.

The Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956 regulates rather than bans. Private, consensual arrangements between adults are not directly punished by it. What the Act does criminalise is specific: keeping or managing a brothel under Section 3, living wholly or partly on another person’s earnings from prostitution under Section 4, prostitution in or near notified public places under Section 7, and soliciting in public under Section 8.

So the practical reading is that a private arrangement between two adults is not the thing the law is aimed at, while anything involving a public place or a third party profiting is. Everyone shown on this site is eighteen or above, our 18+ disclaimer sets that out in full.

What should you remember if you forget everything else?

Keep three habits and almost nothing can go wrong. Pay only at the end and only in person. Share a first name and a number, and nothing that could identify you. Put the area, the timing, the duration and the total in writing before anyone travels.

The nervousness goes after the first call. The habits should not.

What else do people ask before a first booking?

A few hours is usually enough and same-day is normal. Friday and Saturday evenings and the nights around festivals fill faster, so if your plan is fixed to a particular date, give a day’s notice.

For a first booking, yes, and there is no disadvantage. WhatsApp also leaves you with the agreed terms in writing, which a call does not. Ring only when the timing is tight enough that waiting for a reply would cost you the slot.

Yes. Since nothing is paid in advance, cancelling costs you nothing. Telling us early is a courtesy rather than an obligation, and it means somebody is not left travelling across the city for no reason.

Only if you choose an out-call to your own address. If you would rather not give it, an in-call or a hotel removes the question entirely.
